Thankful and a contest?

Happy Thanksgiving! All the things I am thankful for would be impossible to list. I have such a deep gratitude for everyday things, that even to list those, would be impossible. And really, to say I am thankful for you, my readers and supporters, would not even begin to describe how grateful I am for each of you. I am so thankful for a loving savior, who gave me life, life abundant. I am thankful for Ukraine, even on the bad days, I know that purpose is here, and a revival is in reach. I am thankful for my family, who supports me, loves me, and helps me grow each day, not to mention lets me the adult child, live at home again. I am thankful for my friends, new and old, who help me, pray for me, and keep me sane… most days.  I am most thankful for those of you who support Radical Feet with your love, encouragement, prayers and donations, without you, it would not be possible for me to be thankful for living in Ukraine.  Above all, I am thankful for my mighty God, who breathes ...

Getting Ready for the Holidays

As you can tell, from the blog background change, Holiday time is here... Thanksgiving is just a week away, and then a month of festivities begin. Personally, I love Christmas , when the world around you takes time to spend moments together, singing, exchanging gifts and it's when everyone believes in hope, even if it is just for a season. Plus, it also is a sign of one year ending, and a new one beginning, and a new year brings my birthday that much closer, and that really is my favorite holiday:) But Thanksgiving starts the season off right, being thankful is a good place to be when thinking of Christ being born... We have lots of reasons to be thankful... I know I do, but the thankful blog will come next week:) As we prepare for the holiday season this year, admist the hustle and bustle of finding the perfect presents, the perfect holiday decor, the family bonding (or not so bonding) times, lets remember that Jesus was the perfect gift to us. And I know that is said a lot this t...

Love, love, love, all you need is love!

First a small recap of this week...  Well, this is my last weekend of house sitting. Just three more days left. It has been a good experience, especially the driving. It has cured my desire to have my car here, public transportation, for day to day "transporting" is good enough for me. But it has been fun... And the quiet has given me lots of time to think... Food Ministry. We gave out 25 bags. Please Continue to pray for the food ministry, all the people that we meet. There are just so many needs, and their greatest needs (which is hard to fathom that there could be a greater need than their physical need) is spiritual healing. Without it, their eternal life is at stake. And the latest thing on my mind ... Love... what does it truly mean... this is what I've come up with...  Love is such a wonderful thing. But we tend to miss out on the fact that love is a verb. It requires action. The Bible is clear on that. First Corinthians 13 alone gives us so many defini...

Orphans

What comes to your mind when you read or hear the word...  " Orphan"... Many times, not much registers. Unless you've personally encountered orphans first hand, they are out of sight, and thus out of mind. No one likes to think about a child growing up without parents, in big group homes, some loved, most are not. We do not like to think about children suffering, longing for affection and a hug. In Ukraine alone there are over 100,000 orphans and foster children, and statistics suggest that only 10% are orphaned because their parents die, most are orphaned because their parents are imprisoned, or abuse alcohol and drugs ( http://www.worldorphanproject.com/statistics.html ).  The Bible however, tells us... "Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world."James 1:27...  If we close our eyes, or to choose to ignore the hur...
