Getting Ready for the Holidays

As you can tell, from the blog background change, Holiday time is here... Thanksgiving is just a week away, and then a month of festivities begin. Personally, I love Christmas, when the world around you takes time to spend moments together, singing, exchanging gifts and it's when everyone believes in hope, even if it is just for a season. Plus, it also is a sign of one year ending, and a new one beginning, and a new year brings my birthday that much closer, and that really is my favorite holiday:) But Thanksgiving starts the season off right, being thankful is a good place to be when thinking of Christ being born... We have lots of reasons to be thankful... I know I do, but the thankful blog will come next week:) As we prepare for the holiday season this year, admist the hustle and bustle of finding the perfect presents, the perfect holiday decor, the family bonding (or not so bonding) times, lets remember that Jesus was the perfect gift to us. And I know that is said a lot this time of year, but I encourage you to do more than just reflect a thought about Christ's birth, but approach the thought, with thankfulness in your heart. This season gives us permission to take time off to really give Jesus the attention he should be getting all year long. Jesus represented so much, perfect love, generous giving, flawless example... let us try to be like Jesus, especially during this holiday season. Look for opportunities to give. And yes, I am a missionary, so I will mention later how you can give to Radical Feet this holiday season, but I will save that for the end... because the point of this post, is to encourage you to think outside the box. What is God calling you too this holiday? How can you do something radical to impact somebodies life? There are needs all around, no matter where you are in the world. We are all called to serve, rather we have the title missionary or not. So look around, how can you give, serve, love and change lives this holiday. The impact of giving is great, because gifts from a servants heart, just keep giving and giving, making the world a better place...

Okay, so some people have asked, "Well Chelsey, what is your Christmas Wish List this Christmas?" so here it is...

Wish List:
First, I have to go to Poland the first of December. When I entered Ukraine, I was given 90 days to spend here. Today, I got my documents so that I can apply for a one year Visa. But to get the Visa I have to go to an Ukrainian embassy in another country, Poland is the closest for me. It costs money like anything else, so if you would like to make a special holiday donation to help cover the cost of the Visa application, as well as the hotel stay, that would be a wonderful gift!

Second, I would love to get a box filled with craft supplies, construction paper and glue sticks the most! That would be a huge help in the Orphanage and Kids ministry I am doing with my Parents ministry. If this is something you would like to do here is how: http://radicalfeet.weebly.com/prayer.html.. scroll down to see the How to Ship Meest section.

Third, I would love just to receive some snail mail. Christmas cards are one of my favorite things, and I love encouragement, so that would be nice too:)

I am happy where I am, I am thankful for many things, and I look forward to all that is in store for me. I am just a sinner, a princess of the King, constantly forgiven, and just trying to live the race set before me with endurance.

As always thanks for reading, and look next week, to see my thanksgiving post:)
