Love, love, love, all you need is love!

First a small recap of this week...
Well, this is my last weekend of house sitting. Just three more days left. It has been a good experience, especially the driving. It has cured my desire to have my car here, public transportation, for day to day "transporting" is good enough for me. But it has been fun... And the quiet has given me lots of time to think...
Food Ministry. We gave out 25 bags.
Please Continue to pray for the food ministry, all the people that we meet. There are just so many needs, and their greatest needs (which is hard to fathom that there could be a greater need than their physical need) is spiritual healing. Without it, their eternal life is at stake.

And the latest thing on my mind... Love... what does it truly mean... this is what I've come up with...

Love is such a wonderful thing. But we tend to miss out on the fact that love is a verb. It requires action. The Bible is clear on that. First Corinthians 13 alone gives us so many definitions that we could spend our whole lives trying to show love, and never fully succeeding. But there is more scriptures about serving others, and how to share Christ’s love.  That is a huge task. Christ sacrificed all to give us sinners what we needed, and that was redemption. SO basically, we are to love and that means loving till it hurts. Sacrificing our needs, to serve others so that Jesus can be glorified through our actions, and God can be seen in all that we do. And when you think about applying the word, Love, to a romantic relationship, the actions do not change. How to love all people through our actions is clear, love others, everyone, like you love yourself. Humans are selfish creatures by nature, so we love ourselves quit a bit. If there is an opportunity for self gain, it perks our interest, but if something may cause us to have to give up something, or if it is uncomfortable, we will move on. But in loving others, we are to love them, seek their best interest.  And that applies, in all relationships, including romantic ones. Life is complicated, but then again it really is not. If we could practice more, the whole, deny oneself thing, we would be so much better off. Our friendships, work , romantic relationships, and the world in general, would be a bit less complicated. Can you imagine a place where everyone is trying to serve those around them? It would be lovely to witness. As Christians though, we are to be imitators of Christ, and he was the perfect example of love. So we need to be striving everyday to become less selfish, more willing to love others in action, and more willing to realize that the Christian life is the same when your alone, when your with your family, when your with you loved ones. So be radical in the way you love. Love till it hurts, so people can see your good deeds and praise your father in heaven.
