27 Loaves of Bread

Lord prepare me, to be a sanctuary, pure and holy, tried and true and with thanksgiving, I will be a living, sanctuary for you..

In our lives, we face so many trials... Sometimes the fact we get out of bed is a victory for the day. But in those moments where I feel oppressed, depressed, and under too much pressure- well that is when I feel closest to God. Come near to God and he will come near to you (James 4:8), is a true verse. I think often times it takes those difficult times for us to realize our need for a great deliverer. Because of our human ways, when things are going smooth and nice, we rely on ourselves and move God aside. But as soon as the other shoe falls, we come running back like the prodigal son.

My life is in a constant state of change. Ministry is always changing and developing. I am always changing and developing. The government of Ukraine is always changing and developing one way or another. But not only is my life in constant change, but it is in a constant state of instability. Having to rely on other people for everything I have and do is not an easy task, but it is a task that God has called me too.

Before I moved onto the mission field, I worked hard at the several jobs I had. Being independent was important for me, so I worked my butt off to make ends meet. I would wake up at 4:30 a.m. and go lifeguard for a couple hours. Then I would teach swim lessons or coach a group. I'd then go to my second job, work with students till the evening, where I would then leave for my third job as a tutor or go to teach more swim lessons. If there was an opportunity to work more hours, I would, because I knew and understood that the more you work, the more money you will have on payday.

Missions doesn't work like that. You can be the greatest missionary ever, working 60+ hours a week, and be strapped for cash. Why? Because missions is funded by you... A missionary can not go and earn extra cash when there is a need. No he or she must beg for funds. A missionary can not put themselves over the needs of the people they work with, so they go without when things get tight (well at least some do).

I am not saying that is where I am, but I am grateful that many of you do take the time each month to donate to Radical Feet. There are so many causes in the world that need our support. There are so many missions out there doing their best to make a difference in the world, and they need our help! Obviously I am an advocate for my own ministry but I also believe that their are many other causes out there worthy of your attention. So don't be selfish with your money. For a self supported mission, EVERY DOLLAR changes things! If you only have 10$ to give, do not be embarrassed by that, and do not let it be an excuse not to give. $10 in Ukraine could purchase 27 loaves of bread! So seriously get to given today!

And if you give to Radical Feet know that I know how blessed I am to have you in my life! I pray for each one of you, and I thank each of you for your compassion and love toward me!

If you are looking for more ways to give, of course you can check out my ministry here
Or you can see other ministries I personally know are doing great things that could use your support too, A.)Freedom Home Moldova or B.)Project Rescue C.)IJM D.)Hands on Missions

Let's all do our part to make the world a better place, and to change lives, one person at a time!

* BY THE WAY: I am still raising funds for my trip back to the states, I could greatly use your help! Also I still have openings in January and February of 2014 for speaking engagements so help me out by giving to make this much needed trip possible and also email me if you are interested in hearing my presentation on ministry opportunities in Eastern Europe!
