And this week on days of our lives

No, just kidding, my life is not a soap opera by any means... but life in general for me is interesting:)

I posted this on my facebook page, but for those of you who missed it... Wednesday, I met with a friend before English Club at Mcdonalds... As we were leaving to go to the English Club, a man stopped us. He was obviously not Ukrainian ( because he had an interpreter) and his accent was not american, maybe British? Anyways he was older, so we politely responded to his hellos. And once he found out that we lived in L'viv, he said, you must be volunteers... so then my friend explained how we work for the church, and do different things... Well then this man asked us ( knowing we were heading to our meeting) what we teach... now this man referenced the Bible in his little introduction, just keep that in mind... So being the good Baptist we were raised to be, my friend gave the first response-- God sent his Jesus to die on the cross for our sins, he rose 3 days later, and he's coming back ( she of course was more eloquent with her words but you get the idea) and then he said in response, " But why?" By this point, we are starting to run late, and I really do not like being late for things, especially when I am the one with the keys to open the room... so I responded... " Because the Bible says that the only way to God is through Jesus. Without Jesus the consequence for our sin is hell ( and I said something about God being the Good judge or something like that)..." dum dum dum... You would of thought I said the worse word in the entire world... Apparently he didn't believe in a hell. Then his translator said, " So a father would place his child's hand on a burning stove, to punish them..." That question kind of took me by surprise... That people would think like that.. .if hell is no consequence, then why believe in heaven? And thinking back on it, God is only the father to those he knows... If he doesn't know you, then he will say "depart from me, I never knew you" ... It's interesting for me, being a missionary, when other "missionaries" try to convert me, with their message. But my message is not manipulated-- The Bible is pretty clear when it comes to salvation, and the alternative to heaven... sadly, many who say Lord Lord will not enter the kingdom of heaven.

* Soap Box Rant*
[ The reality is, many will be condemned to hell. God is loving God, patient, kind, slow to anger, keeps no record of wrong because he forgives. He provides, teaches, and blesses his children. But if you are not his child, if your not heirs to the kingdom, you have no claim to that... You don't get a second chance, you only get this life to live.Well, anyways, don't think He and I will see eye to eye on that--- But I did feel a better understanding as to way their are those sermons like, " Sinners in the hands of an Angry God" We all want to think about the now... having more things, building up our lives.. going to church, thinking only of God's love, and blessings... but we skip over the wrath of God, the Old Testament is full of warnings for us.. .God does not play. Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you-- DON'T and sin's consequence is death and misery. Don't be miserable, and don't be mislead. Hell is real. Heaven is real. And you have the choice now to make, where you will be. Live the life that God designed for you, fully committed to him NOW, and his ways, not to fleshly desires, don't wait to find out what happens in the end if you don't.]

So anyways, after our chat with this man... we made it to English club. We had some new faces, and no power... I wasn't sure how we were going to have a music English Club with no music... But luckily some man, magically "borrowed" electricity from somewhere, and plugged a plug in that magically gave us power ( yea, try to figure that one out?) But I was thankful that all the planning I did, did not go to waste, and we had a great night looking back at the "80's"... although how my generation looks back at the 80's this generation looks back at the 90's... so weird for me! So next week, when we talk about popular songs from the 90's, I am going to mention Hanson brothers, and they are going to stare at me with blank faces... lol... joys of getting older:)

So that sums up this post-- Hope you all have had a good week, and hope you have a great weekend. I will spend my weekend finishing up my finals for 3/4 of my classes, so say a prayer for me!

I will leave you with this video (to make up for all the Hell, fire and brimstone talk, but seriously, do you know Jesus?)... I love gospel music, and Kirk Franklin.. So this really made me laugh till I was crying... Hope you enjoy and get at least a giggle from it:)

Have a blessed Day, and as always, thanks for your time, your prayers, and your generosity toward me and Radical Feet. If you'd like more information, check out the website ( updates have been made) at www.radicalfeet.weebly.com.
