Half A Year?
I really hope that you will continue to invest in me and the ministry going on in Ukraine. With the rise of "other" faiths here, it is even more important for Christian missionaries to be present here. So please be in prayer for the missionaries here, and for the support of churches and people like you to back them and encourage them, and to financially bless them!
Wow, what a week.
Got 51 letters mailed out to celebrate 6 months of me being in Ukraine! Hope you signed up to get the 6th month newsletter, if not, be looking on here for the republishing of it:)
Can you believe it? Time sure does go by fast sometimes;)
The last couple post I have put on the Facebook page have been about some exciting things. First is this summer Radical Feet will have its first "intern". She is an acquaintance of mine, and I am so excited she is coming to work with me and my parents ministry. I think God has some great things in store for her and for me as well!
And with her coming, she needs a place to live. With the Euro Cup being in L'viv at that time, the best situation will be for me to have an apartment by then. It is the best financial option as well as the best safety option ( "football" fans are crazy!)
SO SO SO... I need your help! In order to have an apartment secured for this summer, I will have to start renting one soon. I went to a Realtor this week and out of all the rental properties in L'viv, there was only one apartment that met my specifications. I am looking for a two room apartment, for under 200$ a month. Now L'viv prices are like that of a major city (crazy on the average monthly salary here), and prices are high. In Shelby, NC, where I hail from, you can find a pretty decent rental for around that price (or close too that price), not so much here. So anyways, I will be looking at this ONE place next week. It sounds promising, and is close to the grocery store that I think is the best, and in an area with easy access to public transportation. That all is good. We'll see what pans out:)
This is where YOU come in though:) I really need prayer that I make the right choice. So please be praying for me and this apartment hunt! I just want everything I do to bring glory to God, and this situation is no different.
And of course the financials are an issue, but after the blessing I received this week (which came from Ukrainians, which makes it all the more a blessing) I know that God has plan. And My prayer lately has been that I would not have too much, as to boast in my own strength, and not too little that I'd be tempted to steal. ( Proverbs 30:8-9). Now when it gets close to that too little line, I begin to stress. But if God is the God of all things, and he says he will provide all my needs, then I have to hold firm to that. God's spirit can stir hearts to give, and it can come from places I never expected possible. SO if you have given to me recently, sincerely Thank you! God is teaching me through you how to be found faithful and that is awesome!

I've posted this before, but with out the whole body of believers united together serving, the work can not be accomplished. Missionaries need support in many forms. Cards and letters to let them know they are not forgotten. Boxes filled with goodies to give them a little piece of home. Financial gifts to let them know you support not only their ministry but them as a person.
Now if you are looking for a missionary to back, I'd love to be that missionary for you:) But seriously, My heart breaks for all missionaries. Often they are left to fend for themselves, to beg people to give up a night out so that they can support a missions project. Missionaries give up their lives to be the feet that go and share the gospel, often only to be left without the rest of the body supporting them, and being excommunicated for their audacity to ask the church to give up something for missions (even though the missionary has given up the comforts of home to serve?).
SO find yourself a missionary (or two or three) and really take the time to invest in their lives. Let your heart break for what breaks there's, and truly try and support them in all areas, network on their behalf, really GIVE to missions along side them. Without YOU missions does not work, and it is up to YOU to make missions happen! I know the handful of people who have taken the time to invest in me, mean more than I could ever express. And i know other missionaries feel the same about the handful who are that for them, but remember YOU can make a difference. By investing in a missionary, you are blessing them, and strengthening them to be even more effective at reaching the thousands of other people they will encounter. SO by simply taking the time to meet one person (or one family) 's needs, you in return are meeting the physical needs and spiritual needs of a bunch of people, and that is just AWESOME!
You are the difference this world needs:)
Thank you all again for reading this blog, and if you haven't gathered this yet, I am truly grateful to all of you who make it possible for me to live in Ukraine! Let's renew our passions together, and get excited about reaching people for Christ! And lets get excited to help those who are all over the world, sharing the gospel!
