Radical Generosity

Many of you have shown me this year, what radical giving looks like. I have been blessed by every donation and contribution you have made to Radical Feet. I have been blessed by every encouraging note, prayer, and gift given in 2011!

* If you are still looking to make a tax deductible donation this year, you have three days left, just click the tab above that says, "How to Give."

As the New Year, the year 2012, is about to begin, I have started pondering all the things that I hope this year holds. I have started to think about all the people I will meet and how I may impact lives. It can be scary to think of what all might be expected from me, all the challenges that lie ahead. All the good and bad that may be... But the one thing that keeps me filled with hope, and not fear, is what my motto for 2012  will be: Keep close to the Shepherd

The Lord is my shepherd. He leads and guides me. Just like he did with the Israelites to the promise land. He led them with fires and winds. He fed them he guided them. Yet, many times, they looked at their circumstances instead of their shepherd, and they failed. And a new testament story is when Peter walks on the water with Jesus. The moment he took his eyes of his Shepherd, he sank.

I do not want to sink. I want to stay close to my Shepherd, with my eyes fixed on Him.

I hope that you will join me in preparing for the New Year. Not with false hopes, but with hope that  God will lead us all if we allow him to be Lord of our lives, our Shepherd.

As you look inside, I hope that you will also take time to consider how you can be more involved with Radical Feet. This past month Radical Feet has been doing a give-a-way. There was more to the give-a-way then just what meets the eye. It was a way to show how you can easily be involved.

Ways to be Involved

* You can Network: This means be a voice for Radical Feet. Invite people to join in the ministry. Spread information on the needs of the ministry. Get small groups and Sunday school classes interested in giving monthly, collecting craft supplies and sending care packages.

*You can Pray: Prayer is so important. Knowing that people are committed to being a prayer partner and prayer warrior for me and those I meet is such a blessing and valuable part of what goes on in Ukraine. Getting churches to pray, small groups, Sunday school classes, youth groups and even children's clubs, to pray, and be aware of the needs here, is a great way to be  a part of what God is doing here.

*You can Give: Giving is important too. Blessed is a cheerful giver. And the more we give, the more blessings we get in return. The goal for 2012 is to have enough monthly support to rent an apartment, increase visits to local orphanages and be able to help local churches in ministry. I hope you will consider being a monthly supporter. No amount is too small, and definitely no amount to big. Look at the How to Give tab above for information on how you can give!

Radical Generosity. In 2012 I also hope to be a Radical Giver, with my time and support for the work here in Ukraine.

Thank you again for all you have done this year, and for all that will be done in 2012! Please be in prayer for what God may want you to do to be apart of Radical Feet  and for the year 2012!

May God Bless you and Keep You and may You stay close to the Shepherd!
