So these pictures are from today at our weekly "street ministry" where we play with kids in effort to build relationships with our neighbors. But the pictures did not turn out so well, since it was getting dark and we all were moving a lot, but for some reason i thought they were cool, and so I made them Black and white and obviously felt they were cooler:) So tilt your head and view them like an "artist" and  pray for our neighborhood, and all the families and children in it:! He was not sure he wanted to give me the ball back... it was cute Football is fun, especially when it is american football!

*warning* this a longer blog, but full of information... do not read if you do not want your heart to tug for the people of Ukraine. If you feel a tug, please respond how God is leading you! Prayer makes a big difference in a place like Ukraine.  EMMA So lately I've been thinking about ministry. A lot. How can I make a difference, how can I stop Human Trafficking, how canI be the most effective at reaching people for Christ? My answer. One person at a time. One child at a time. One teen at a time. One college student at a time. One Grandparent at a time.  My heart today is breaking for kids who are growing up without anyone to care for them. They need to feel loved, and know that their are people who care about them, but more importantly that God cares about them.  This is Emma to the right. She has spent a lot of time with my family over the summer, and now she has taken to me too. Well more she is taken with playing Barbie dress up g...

First Post from Ukraine

Image
Well, I know it is past time for me to write my first post from Ukraine, but I refused to write anything till I had a full nights sleep, so here I am one week later, and I had my first good nights sleep last night! So thank you for your prayers! My flight to Ukraine was a little rough, lots of turbulence, and when I arrived in Warsaw, my flight had been delayed for a little over an hour, when  finally they put us on a plan that had propellers and all of 25 people could fit on the plan. It was crazy! But I made to L'viv and was greeted by my family(+1 adopted family member).  Lets see, since I've been here, I have slept, gone to the grocery store, gone to two different home improvement stores ( I had to buy a light fixture, something to make shelves, curtains; and of course I could not buy all of those things in one place). And... well just mainly trying to get settled into my new room and get over jet lag. I promise to post more of a thorough update soon...
