This post is a little off schedule. But I have spent the last week kid sitting for some fellow missionary friends, and I myself, am off schedule. Do not have much news to post this week, but some exciting news is that Radical Feet is one like away from "100" on facebook. So if you haven't yet, go and like the page for daily updates and pictures as well! Networking is so important! Also, on Wednesday Jodie gets here! She will be helping do ministry this month! Super excited she is coming, and super excited for what God has in store! Please pray for her, and for me, that God will lead us and that this summer will bring Him glory above all else! You can check out Jodie's blog here:  http://www.jodiesjourney1.blogspot.com/ Hope everyone has had a wonderful Lord's Day. And I look forward to the next few post, because I know  I will have lots to share, till then, stay close to the Shepherd--- and Pray without ceasing;) Peace and Love, Chelsey

Mercy VS Sacrifice

As I was doing my quiet time today, I opened my Bible, asking God to speak to me today. The passage that I opened up too was Hosea 6. After reading for a moment, I was like, um... okay, this is not what God is using to speak to me cause I am not getting anything, must be something else in store for me. So I flipped through, and stopped on the next passage which was in Matthew 9. I continued to read through to chapter 12. As I was reading a sentence jumped off the page, first in Matt. 9:13. God requires Mercy not Sacrifice.  And the same thing is repeated in Matt. 12:27. I noticed that the verse also had a reference, and guess what, the reference was to Hosea 6:6. The exact chapter that I had dismissed as not relevant for my life. God is pretty cool if you ask me, has a way of reminding me always that he is bigger than I give him credit for... Anyways, I began thinking about why was God pointing this specific scripture out to me. And I just kept reading his word. And this is t...

Week 2 of May 2012

Kids  This week will be our last visits with the kids at the Social Orphanage. Soon they will all go to the mountains for a camp, and then return to their homes, or back to the school. This week the story tied in EURO2012. Ed used a soccer ball with the colors of Black, Yellow, Red, White and Green... shared with the kids that we are all black=sinners, and sin separates us from heaven=yellow. With the blood of Jesus=red, we can be made clean= white, and then we can grow= green and when we die, go to heaven. I am sure going to miss these kids, even though they are quit the handful. I just hope you will join me in praying earnestly for their safety and salvation. They have no one else to cover them with prayer. Kids made crowns for the "Kingdom of God" English Club Tonight was a great English Club. Only one new person, which is great, but nice to start having regular students to build friendships with... I think everyone had a really good tim...

Serenity

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference.  Today has been a bit of a struggle for me. I've been asking God why, which is never an encouraging way to spend the day. It all started with a little boy at the social orphanage. Last week, he was a little wild, so I just scooped him up, and held him in my lap, while Ed told the Bible Story. As we sat, this little boy just melted into my arms, sat quietly, and listened. So this week, as soon as I sat down in the classroom, he was climbing into my lap, and started to just talk to me.  He told me how everyone had gotten picked up this weekend and got to go home for the holiday Ukraine just celebrated. This social orphanage we go to, the kids live and go to school in one place. Their parents either are incarcerated, too poor to care for their child, or a single parent. Some people put their kids in this "school" so that they ca...
