Update on Passport Drama

“Summing it all up, friends, I'd say you'll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse. Put into practice what you learned from me, what you heard and saw and realized. Do that, and God, who makes everything work together, will work you into his most excellent harmonies.”  Philippians 4:8   MSG   Isn't that the truth- and how easy it is to forget the truth! Be right with God and put into practice everything you've learned, heard and seen- and then you'll be in most excellent harmony with him! As you've may have seen on Radical Feet's Facebook page, we've been going through quite the series of challenges. First in Poland when our passports were held for ransom and I had to phone the American Embassy to get them back- to now when our visa's expired while our paperwork for our registrati...

URGENT PRAYER NEEDED

Image
January 19th - Baptism of our Lord (Epiphany) The Baptism holiday finishes the Christmas season lasting from 7th till 19th Jan. According to Bible, Jesus was baptized in Jordan river waters so it gave the second, folk name to the holiday. Epiphany ends up the list of New-Year-Christmas feats. Today we attempted to turn in all our documents for our registration here in Ukraine. The thing is Ukraine loves two things: blue stamps and holidays. Out of the 50 or so papers we had, we were missing one with a stamp. So as I type this my father with our lawyer are trying to track down the person who can blue stamp this one paper. Now the other thing. Today is a holiday. They celebrate Jesus' baptism. And no holiday is complete without a little (or a lot) of vodka. All this to say that the one man who is needed to approve our documents is not at work today because he is celebrating, and no one is certain when he will be back.  The deadline for us to get everything turned in is Saturda...

Care Package

Image
Things I need, if you would like to ship me a care package, I would be so grateful! A bowl/plate/cup set for Emma. Anything from the dollar store since that is something we can't get here. She is six, and eats lots of meals with us! Construction Paper- it's the basis for all our crafts!  Jumbo Crayons would be great! The kids love them, and it helps them so much! Glue and Glue Sticks And if you would like to send me something special: Any baking mixes, cake mixes-- even Gluten free things would be nice I am also having a birthday soon! Feb. 1 ... So of course if you'd like to send me a card or a present, I would be happy to receive it! My mom tells me that I get way to excited for my birthdays. But everyone who spends time with me in person understands that I just love my birthday. I look at it as a way to celebrate all that God has done in my life, and gift giving is how I receive love, so I think that plays a part in it as well:) ...

* So I finally can announce the winner of the Last gift give-a-way! The donations received in December were just incredible! I am so blessed that you all have been there for me in moments of crisis, and that you have continued to show your support through prayers, networking, and financial gifts! PayPal has really made a difference, so thanks to all of you who have made use of that option! So now for the winner, by random draw.... drum roll... Cheryl! Thanks Cheryl for you support of Radical Feet, and your gift will be on its way to you!  * I would like to ask you all to be in prayer for me and my family. God's got a plan, I know, but We could still use your prayers. We are in the process of getting the final documents for us to register to live here, and things are not going smoothly. So pray that we get the papers that we need, all before our deadline next week! Thanks in advance for your intercession on our behalf! And now for this weeks blog: Here is a fa...

Take Heart

Image
Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all you that hope in the LORD. Psalm 31:24                                                                                                          I recently came across the Blue Heart Campaign. It is a campaign to spread awareness and bring a stop to Human Trafficking (United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime). And it got me thinking more about trafficking. http://www.unodc.org/blueheart/                                 ...
